The MLA-30+ is an Active Loop Receive Antenna for the HF bands (0.5-30MHz) that performs extraordinarily well with SDR Radios. This antenna scores high on two fronts: Lightweight (portable) and sensitive (picks weak signals perfectly) thus making it the perfect Rx antenna for mobile operation. In some installations I have seen the Amateur combined a SDR receiver with the MLA-30+ for reception and then a normal 100 watt radio for transmission – best of both worlds! Powered from a USB port mine runs almost 24 hours on a single recharge and it can be used from a balcony in a complex or holiday home. Ask me for a picture of my WSPR contacts!
